Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit
The Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit is a partnership with Pulaski County and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. A therapeutic psychiatric service provided for persons in acute behavioral health crisis, the PCRSCSU is staffed by Psychiatric Research Institute employees and includes a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, social workers, prescribers, and psychiatric technicians. The mission of the unit is to provide a much needed alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or emergency room visits for persons in crisis or who encounter law enforcement due to their psychiatric condition.
